Junk Food should be Banned!

Although some people do not like eating junk foods, it might be true that burger, kebab­, or hotdog are delicious foods for most of+ people. They may buy tons of junk food to conduct a simple and faster-eating habit. However, even though junk foods can make people‘s life looks so simple, it also can cause a dramatic health problem in the future. People should start thinking wisely about junk foods and considering the quality of it. It is very reasonable since junk foods may lead many health problems to people. For one reason, junk foods are possible to increase blood pressure and result in heart attack. Secondly, junk foods able to grow tumors and it may lead people to get cancer. Lastly, junk foods consist of many chemical unit that can support obesity. In a point, based on those three reasons, we do believe that junk foods should be banned since it brings more harm than good to health.


First of all, every junk food is having high possibilities to cause a high blood pressure as the reason of heart attack. People may surprise and ask how can junk foods increase the blood pressure? According to American Heart Association, junk foods contain an excessive amount of sodium which is 1,300 mg, however, they also approve that people only need to consume 1,500 mg sodium per day, no more. Consume an excessive amount of sodium can make body to retain water and make the heart is faster in producing blood for body. This process time by time can cause a heart attack since it can increase the blood pressure and shock people’s heart. However, some people then argue that they only eat one junk food per day and seems consume less than 1,500 mg sodium, so everything is going to be safe. In contrast, how about another foods that they have consumed besides junk food in the same day, like soup, beef, or even noodle? Then everything is not going to be safe right now. For those who have eaten junk foods will never able to consume less than 1,500 mg sodium per day and will have higher risk to get heart attack latter.
Second of all, not only can cause a heart attack, junk food also possible to lead people attacked by cancer since junk food can grow tumors rapidly. Research in Harvard Medical School approve that the changes of body’s cells structure have a positive correlation with people who eat high fat foods or in overweight-people. The researchers state if people eat significant intake of high fat food (like junk foods), it can make non-stem cells copy the properties of stem cells so they will divide them self uncontrollably and transform into a tumorigenic (tumor forming). If the cells keep dividing them self over and over again, it will lead people to get a long-term cancer. In addition, besides caused by high fat food, cancer also is caused by food that use overrated oil to cook and one of them is junk foods. By using overrated oil, junk foods can produce damaging chemical and create carcinogenic and change food constitution. Researcher Janet Stanford, Ph.D., Co-director of the Hutchinson Center's Program analyzed from 3,000 people as a sample (men and women), report that people who eat fried faience, fried chicken and fried fish twice a week have 34-37% higher risk of cancer. With those facts, there is no more reason for people should keep eating junk foods since it just a harmful food for health.
Lastly, junk foods consist of many chemical unsure that can cause obesity for everyone. Imagine, if all people have the same idea to live simple and choose junk foods as their daily foods,  the world will full with overweight people. Many people want to look beautiful or handsome to gain their confidence. This is why many overweight-people want to change their diet habit to decrease the weight and live healthier; one of them is Arya Permana who has just suffered from respiratory tract problem. Junk foods as the food that consist of excessive calories and fats can be said as one of the biggest reason of those problems. According to IU Health’s Sarah Muntel, one junk food consists of 1,048 calories and 36.25g of fat, that amount can exceed entire calories and fats needed per day. That is just a strong reason why junk foods can be so dangerous for everyone. Besides than that, Bariatic Surgery website in their research article “Does Fast Food Cause Obesity?” also state if junk foods consist of less vitamin and mineral in which those materials help people to feel full on less food. Foods with more vitamin and mineral will impact to more effective people’s diet management. So that is why people should start eating healthier food and stop to eat junk foods.
In conclusion, junk foods should be banned since it because many health problems include heart attack, cancer, and obesity. If people start to stop eating junk foods, not only they will be healthier, but they also will enjoy the life with no any worries about health problem in the future. This is how the life goes on. People should start considering about anything they choose, include junk foods itself. People also need to realize which food that bring more benefits to them or not, because once people regret on their decision, nothing is going to be changes.
